Honda has chosen MyScript's handwriting recognition to enable drivers to interact with the infotainment system while driving.
In many countries, the only allowed input method (HMI) while driving is voice and handwriting recognition only. Voice recognition is great but it doesn't work when the driver is playing music, has the windows open, have babies crying in the back, and many other situations. The distraction that comes from misrecognition is also known to be dangerous according to American Automobile Association.
Handwriting recognition is proven by many OEMs and associations to be much safer and accurate.
