MyScript - Shinsei Bank - Using AI for retail banking

Shinsei Bank, one of the top 10 banks in Japan, uses MyScript's handwriting recognition (HWR) technology powered by multiple variations of neural network engines.

Shinsei Bank deployed tablets at bank branches used for opening bank accounts and applying for credit cards. This was already an efficiency win over paper forms but the tablets were not suitable for users that are not familiar with virtual keyboards. HWR was perfect for these types of users.
