Tokyo Shoseki, one of the top 2 text book publisher in Japan, uses MyScript's handwriting recognition technology for their digital education software.
This is another major win for MyScript Japan following the Gakken deal.
Similar to the Gakken deal, Tokyo Shoseki chose MyScript's handwriting recognition technology as elementary and middle school students are not familiar with virtual keyboards. Also, keyboards are not a practical input method for certain mathematical expressions such as fraction, root, etc.
